According to the lunchtime news, Nicola Sturgeon is offering for Scotland to take 1000 refugees. Apparently the figure is 'a starting point and not a cap.' But it seems to me to be a very low starting point. It may be more per head of population than Cameron is going to offer but it just doesn't seem to fit with the spirit of what the SNP have been saying about the refugee crisis. Surely we should be offering to take more people? There are more than 1000 stuck on that train in Hungary alone.
