Glasgow city council consultation on shutting the breakfast clubs.

please help to keep them open

Working parents really rely on the breakfast clubs to allow them to get to work on time. Also part of the point of them is to give children from deprived areas a decent free breakfast to start the day.

My kids are at a really small school so no private provider will find it worth their while to step in. I'm quite happy to pay the full cost for my kids plus extra to pay for deprived kids to have a free meal. I just feel it is a vital service and needs to be preserved.

No such thing as a free lunch Angry.

Done trixy, my dc don't even use the breakfast club but it is a much needed service and I am completely against with shutting them down.

Great, thank you!

I'm in a neighbouring council but will definitely sign; I used to be GCC.

Had to laugh when they said "In the past, when the council has closed schools it has built new ones" because that certainly wasn't the case with my school. Got chucked into another school 2 miles away just as I was about to sit highers Angry

I will support, but i think sadly that they are not the norm in Scotland. There isn't a single school near me that has a breakfast club Sad.

I get angry with the electioneering on extra nursery care - you are screwed round here when they get to school - no breakfast club and getting a place in the afterschool club is like winning the lottery.
