Looking to go to Valencia in the May half term with my 2y and 6y old kids.
Questions:

  1. How many days would you book for?
  2. Is it better staying staying near the beach or city? Hotel/area recommendations (ideally with a pool)
  3. Activity recommendations please

Thanks in advance!

We went to Valencia in the Easter Hols this year with our 7 and 4 year olds. We stayed at an Airbnb in Russafa, which was minutes walk away from most of the central spots in the city. From there we walked to the old town, walked to hire bikes to do the route along the old river bed, which is developed into a lovely cycle and walking route, with plenty of playgrounds on the way, and a botanical park. The river bed cycle path takes you all the way to the beach. We didn’t cycle to the beach, but took a bus which was about 40 minutes and super easy from our accom. We also visited the museum area Quatre Carreres, which also has an amazing aquarium! I’d 100% recommend with kids. It’s a small walking city, and everything else is so accessible and easy. We stayed for 5 days, 4 nights which seemed enough for the city. If we’d stayed longer, we’d probably moved to the beach area for a couple of nights.

Hi sorry abit late to party. I went to Valencia couple of years ago with my 10 year old at the time. We stayed 3 nights, I booked travellodge (yes I know boring),as it was walkable from the airport. The purpose of our trip was the zoo which was really easy to get to on the train and a short walk. On our 2nd day we planned to just explore the city but the aquarium was reccomended to us so we did that and it was amazing. Trains and trams were really easy and cheap to use. We had an early flight home so was perfect being so close to airport we got our breakfast at hotel and then had nice short walk to catch our flight. Hope this helps
