Hello, looking for some tips for a day trip this half term to Shrewsbury - we're going with kids age between 5 and 9 😊 Staying a short distance away. Looking for good family friendly lunch places, best area to park in, any budget friendly sights

Attingham Park national trust site is just outside Shrewsbury, and is lovely, I've taken my kids (5 and 7) many times and there is always plenty for them to do there, including a huge play field and the cafe is good there. The Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings (English Heritage) has some family trails and activities going on for half term, and it's an amazing site, I was there last week and there's lots to explore.

Also depending how far outside you are staying there are the Ironbridge museums in the Telford area, which my kids also love, especially Blists HIll and Enginuity.

Great tips, thanks both!
