Question for you all...
We're going away in May for 10 days, we leave on a Wednesday (during half term) and arrive home the following Saturday.
The Monday after half term is an inset day so they are only missing 4 days of school.
I've just read through the school that inset days are classed as school days and therefore they will be missing 5 days meaning we will be fined!
Surely this isn't fair, we booked it purposely so they wouldn't miss a whole week and we could avoid the fine.
Any advice on how to not get fined appreciated 🤣
PS - 100% attendance usually and very very rarely off school.
