Taking a bit of me time

Just wondering what everyone does to try and get a bit of me time.

I have a gorgeous DD, 2.5years and a great DH who works full time - but I'm often left feeling I have very little me time.

I work a couple of mornings a week but that's work!

My DD gave up naps at 2 so it's a fun day. I'm used to it now but I'm in need of just time for me and I'd really love DD to start napping again.

I've started a dance class which means I have to be out of the house every week on my own which is so lovely. DH is also very hands on and is happy to take DD when I want a bath/time to read etc. How supportive is your DH because I think that makes all the difference.

Argh dropping the nap so early is a pain! Seems unlikely your toddler will go back to napping if she has dropped it consistently for six months.

Well, your choices are:
Pay for an extra day or half day at childcare
Ask DH to look after your dd for a while
Ask a grandparent to babysit, if possible
Go out in the evening once you’ve put dd to bed
Get up early in the morning before everyone else (I love getting up at 5am, bit of yoga, but of housework, coffee in the garden etc but I appreciate it is not everyone’s ideal way to start the day).
