How much does yr nearly 3 yr old play aline

We try and get out to a group most mornings to break up the day and create a routine and now dd is nearly 3 she only naps a couple of times a weeks which is leaving the day feeling quite long lol we often pop to play ground or for a walk etc but when we are just at home she is quite demanding of attention which is fine for some of the time but not the whole time as a) I don't think I should be letting her think that it's ok to have an adult puppet to boss around all the time and b) my enthusiasm can only last so long before I want to fall asleep haha so just wandering what others are like and do they happily entertain themselves?

My almost three year old is the same with attention, very demanding. She will play by herself for maybe 2 x half an hour periods a day spontaneously. I’m now able to encourage more independent play too and leave her doing play doh and painting etc while I get jobs done, or sort the baby out. But I’m regularly popping back and join in, so not truely playing alone at these times. She is getting much better but some days she wants my input every minute and I clock watch until 4pm when I let her watch an hour of tv while I make dinner!

Ah well it's reassuring to know yours is similar age and can still be wanting lots of input at times and also that I'm not the only one who clockwatches until tv time haha
