My youngest child starts school in September & I'm feeling lost. I was very career focused before children & had to give up my job due to circumstance rather than choice really. I enjoy being at home but I struggle with the lack of focus I feel sometimes which has led to me feeling isolated and anxious. I've been away from work now for nearly 7 years & now I'm feeling very lost & wondering what do I do now? My eldest is 8 so I know they still need me at home but what do I do to give me a focus that isn't 100% child-centred? I'd love to hear from others who have been in a similar position - what did you do at this stage?
