Hi ladies,
I'm after some advice about starting a pension. Have any other SAHMs who aren't earning income started a pension that you pay into?
Thanks a lot in advance!

A little late on a reply but Yes I am in the process of setting one up. A stakeholder pension I think. You can pay in £2,800 a year and the government will effectively top it up to £3,600

I’m not a sahp but self employed and I have a private pension with Scottish widows and pay in each month.

We didn't pay into a pension for me as there were times we couldn't afford it/ don't trust pension companies.
We saved some of the money we would have spent on childcare and bought a house outright.
This is my pension and will also provide a small income in the meantime.
It's working fine for us as the value of the property will increase over time, even if there are spells of fluctuation.
As risk averse people it has worked for us.
