Just out of curiosity, what is everyone's General daily routine? I always feel as though I'm not doing enough to keep DS entertained. Especially now winter is here!

I have 2 dc, almost 3 year old ds and 16 month old dd. Ds goes to pre school 2 mornings a week and on those days I take dd into our local small town for a wander and a play in one of the parks/along the canal. Two other days we go to toddler groups, and on the fifth day we go on a long walk around the village and go to the local cafe. That's pretty much our morning routine. They both sleep for 1.5-2 hours in the afternoon and after nap we generally stay home, in summer we played in the garden a lot but now we do play dough, den making, duplo, long baths, painting, set up train tracks etc. They both like stickers a lot! I sometimes theme days so we'll have a 'fish' day so I'll buy some fish decals for the windows, make fish pictures, lay out blue fabric to make a pond and fill it with their fish things, that sort of thing. They don't seem to need loads of entertaining tbh! Quite happy with a run around, food, nap and some playing!

Wow nickyeds you sound like a great mum! I feel like I'm putting the TV on more and more and that's not the kind of mum I want to be. I've got a 6 month old and a just gone 2 year old. I feel like it's too cold to have the baby out for long periods of time yet I'm sick of playing with 2yr old who is incapable of entertaining himself.

*watching with interest

I have a 3 year old & a 5 year old. Every day revolves around the school run really cos youngest also does 2 mornings at pre-school. The other days in the morning we go for a swim, go to the zoo (live very near it & have a membership) and always have a home day in which I get on with my jobs & youngest potters. Every afternoon after lunch youngest has a film as she hasn't napped since she was 18 months & we both need that downtime. Then its walk to school for eldest, back home for dinner & play before bed. It is easier in the summer when they're both in the garden every spare minute but in the winter we just do crafting, puzzles etc...youngest also likes to take very long showers 😂

Mines almost 2. In the morning we do organised classes 2 mornings a week, playgroup once a week and then we see people/go into town/the park the other days. In the afternoon after nap we play indoors or do crafts (I have a big box of stickers and card) or baking (home made pizza, cookies, cupcakes).
But we also watch tv at various points through the day for a bit of down time. I think a bit of tv is fine in moderation.
