Hello! Mum of two girls under 3yrs. Married and 2 cats, looking to move from Hampshire to Tetbury for husbands work. We have a budget of 425k (we appreciate it doesn’t get us a lot but we can make it work!). Seen other places around, including the small villages and towns like Cirencester and Stoud, but fell in love with Tetbury. Questions - am I being delulu? Does it have good schools, healthcare, stuff for kids to do outdoors, community and easy to make friends vibe? Would appreciate advice about Tetbury. Thanks 😊

Those 3 towns all have very different feels and access to transport elsewhere.

Both Tetbury & Cirencester have had / will have huge amounts of new home building which will change drastically their size and how they feel, where as Stroud is protected by it's steep hillsides from this.

Tetbury & Cirencester both have that posher agricultural vibe going on where as Stroud, is, well, very Stroud. If your into antiques then you will be very happy in Tetbury.

What about Nailsworth? It's a good mix of all 3 above towns.

PS - just seen your log in name - Stroud has more trees!

Nailsworth seems perfect actually! I have heard about a bit of a drug scene in Stroud, however , where doesn’t nowadays…
