East or West, or does it not matter? Do you need transport links to anywhere or local public transport? I ask this because there is 'rural' and then there is RURAL.

Prefer east as slightly cheaper than west and closer to daughter in Kent. A bus to nearest town would be good or not too far to a train station a bonus. Not too rural. Thank you @Arlanymor
