Hi all,
We are a family of 5 moving to Cranbrook in the coming months for my husband’s job in London. Where we live now our children (4, 8, 10) enjoy very active social lives without requiring constant taxiing around as there are tons of children in the vicinity - so lots impromptu calling on each other and playing in the street/nearby park.
Cranbrook seems lovely from our desktop research but we are yet to visit in person. We will visit soon, however due to logistical challenges we will only manage a flying visit and only with our youngest in tow.
Our chief concern is that the town may prove a bit quiet and lacking in a vibrant community spirit. We really want somewhere with a bit of a buzz and plenty of children around so that our kids have a decent chance of continuing to enjoy their current social life (without the hassle of formal play dates and lots of driving around).
Would love to hear views on the above from people who know the town well!
