Hi. My hubby and I are seeking to move from a busy Hertfordshire town to a coastal area but want to ensure the education is upto standard for our 6 year old and that there is some diversity.
Please give me your experiences and opinions of coastal areas in the east and south east of England. Thank you.

I am from Deal in Kent and whilst I now live abroad I loved it and still miss it. Lots' of cool independent shops and restaurants. Lovely beach. Lots of countryside nearby. High speed links to London. Primary schools are good. Kent still has the Grammar system though.

I live in a coastal town in Suffolk. The majority of coastal towns here have okayish primary and dreadful secondary schools, to the extent that when we had school age children we chose to live inland!
