Wanting to do a swap (housing association)have been told unless I find someone with a local connection I can't. As l want to move 200 miles away it is unlikely. I'm a single parent and have one dc with additional needs. I really want to be closer to family that can help out. It feels discriminatory. Anyone appealed a decision?

Can’t your family be the local connection?

lifeonaloop · 14/01/2020 20:19

That is ridiculous. What housing association are you with?

Elementalillusions · 14/01/2020 20:26

Surely if you are wanting to move to the area to be close to family that is your local connection.
Have you told them you have family there?

Sorry for confusionConfusedI don't need a local connection for my move. However the people who want to move in need one for my house. As I want to move so far away it will be almost impossible to find someone with it. Whilst I understand offering local people houses in their area. Long term you end up trapped.☹️
