We are looking to relocate. Our current situation is not maintainable long term. Outgrowing our existing home etc.

We are an active family of five and our eldest has ASD/SPD and will likely need a specialist secondary school or a mainstream secondary with a SEN/ARP provision. Needing to incorporate SEN into our search has certainly made identifying a location tricky. We need to apply for an ECHP too.

Initially we were drawn to Somerset but now I'm not sure as SEN schools are few and far between it seems. Perhaps I'm not looking in the right place either.

The "dream" is minimum of 4/5 bed detached house with large garden. Can be rural. Need Primary School and secondary for other children. Would also like access to the usual staples of family life such as Doctors/online supermarket delivery etc.

DH keen on Swindon and Wooten Bassett but can't actually give me a reason why he is in favour of these. I would consider any and all areas tbh not just the South/South West.

Has anyone else moved to an area with good SEN school(s)?

Thanks for reading.
