Hi all,
we are a young family looking to relocate from London.
I currently like the look of Bedford, Kempston to be be exact but I here Chelmsford is good for schools...
Can anyone give me pros and cons? I will continue to work in East London so commuting (mostly by car) is one factor to consider.
PLEASE, PLEASE help... I need serious advice :)

Some of the villages near Chelmsford are lovely. There are some excellent grammar schools (KEGS and County High) but also some schools with a poor reputation - you would need to choose your area carefully. Depending on which side of Chelmsford you live, it is possible to drive to Epping and catch the tube. Brentwood has some good schools and train links but is the home of TOWIE.

Have you considered Bishops Stortford - several excellent state secondary schools and good primaries. Good train links into London and on M11 if you are driving

I am in Bedfordshire but there are far nicer places than Kempston tbh
