Just that really. I'm not quite there yet, but ideas are :

Breakfast
Join Bannatynes and go most mornings for a class, swim & sauna
Get a monthly cinema pass, and watch a few films a week
Lunch/dinner out

How do you fill your typical day?

Since retiring I've gained a qualification in MIG welding, just finished the RHS L2 Practical Gardening at college (1 day a week), garden, get out and see 'stuff' and make a real effort to socialise and visit friends DH also retired), DIY, hobbies of all kinds, just researching what next to learn! I did try some volunteering but the organisations really think you are slave / drone labour, so ruled that out (those that rely on volunteering really need to up their game imo). Give everything a try, you've got time now to play.

This morning I’m volunteer stewarding at our local history centre. I’ve had a few nice chats with visitors, given directions to another and am now sat in peace and quiet. Why do I do it? It gives me purpose in being of use, it brings me dialogue with new and different people, and it allows me to pursue my own interests alongside. Retirement is about more than serving yourself.
