If you've retired from civil service, how long was it before they confirmed how much your pension would be and gave you your options for your pension to decide on? Did you receive your pension the month after your last pay?
Just wondering as DH took early retirement 5.5 months ago, but as he was able bank up to six months leave leave, his last month's pay will be end March. He gave four months notice of his intention to retire.
Apparently they need to give him his options to decide on (has two pensions) - he's chased them a couple of weeks ago and was told they're short staffed but it's all in hand. I think he should chase them again now, as they've got to get the paperwork to him and then he'll need time to decide how to take each one and for that to be set in motion.
