Hard to calculate outgoings with adult DC at home!

DH and I are planning to retire this year at 62/60. We have a pension advisor but the issue is how difficult it is to calculate aspects of what we'll need!

Obviously some things will be the same like council tax and insurances; but gas, electricity, water, and FOOD are hard to calculate with one or other or both or none of our adult DC are at home at any given moment!

Eldest is in FT work but we're still calculating his board; youngest at uni til summer 24.

We've had 3 months being offspring free in the last year, but both are currently here!

Hard to calculate!

I think if you assume they will both be there and costing money in terms of electricity, heating etc you can't go far wrong.

We are retired DS 22 is still at home, we just factor him in, though I do get a bit pissy about lights being left on.
