That I can hear him in the lounge . He is in our room with the door closed upstairs! I went to bed at 9.30 as didn't sleep a wink last night, so he came up to talk to me. He stayed so long I ended up wide awake, so came downstairs to do a bit of tidying etc to tire myself out. He stays up there, falls asleep and is making the ceiling vibrate. How to make him stop for my sanity?

Put the guest duvet on the sofa. Chuck DH out, advice him sofa is for him because you can't sleep due to noise. Promise bacon sarnies in the morning (and deliver). If you have earplugs, insert in ears, snuggle down and enjoy your rest. If not (you must buy some!), pull duvet over head & breathe deeply

Get him to the doctor's. This is recognised as a Condition nowadays, there are various treatments.

Sleep well, you need it ...

He he he. He is never normally a snorer (or I fall asleep well before he does so have never noticed!) It sounds like there is a dragon upstairs! I think I may try out my new wine glass and have a delve into a bit of the ladies' detective agency, and troddle up once the wine kicks in!

Recognised Condition make me

I have just been to the drs because apparently my snoring/laboured breathing can be heard inNew York!! I live in the south of England...

I now need to lose some weight, I know I have let myself go. I used to play football every week, run daily and walk/run my Springer twice daily. Just seems little point making the effort anymore.

Anyone have sensible suggestions in how I can get rid of some tummy flab quickly? My excess weight only seems to be in the middle..lol

Soory OP, bit of a hijack there. Has your partner put on a bit of weight lately?

ineedabodytransplant · 30/05/2010 17:26

Oh in case anyone suggests walking the dog again..he passed away at Christmas which is why I don't have that bit of exercise anymore.

And I don't want to get another dog now.

Meant I know, not I now..duh!!

My DH tends to snore only when he's lying on his back and not propped up on enough pillows. Go upstairs and turn him over, or whatever position usually works for him!

ineedabodytransplant - regrettably, the only way to get rid of tummy flab is CV exercise - you know, the type that involves moving about & getting out of breath.

I know, I hate it too. Skipping in the back yard (if no-one can see you??) You could try all the aerobic programs on a Wii Fit - a daily stint of hula-hooping should get some shape into your middle. Or ride a bike?

ItsGraceAgain,

my big problem is motivation.

Too easy to say ...sod it do it tomorrow.

Daughter has Wii-fit, maybe I will give it a go

Pawslikepaddington · 31/05/2010 16:36

He he, no, sadly the weighty one is me . Dp as skinny as a whippet, just a very heavy sleeper!!! My motivation starts next week. I don't know what it will be, but it will happen next week .
