Astrong and Independant woman wants to say thankyou

It is now a year since H first told me he was leaving.

MN has helped and supported me through so many dark days in the past year and continue to do so.

I just want to say a big thankyou for getting me through these difficult times.

I have been reflecting and the person I am now compared to this time last year is so different, I am more confident, more trusting of my own judgement, and definately independent.

Things continue to be difficult on a day to day basis, but with my renewed sense of self , RL and MN support I have survived this first year.

Thankyou to all who have supported me and continue to do so

Norks - I've followed your threads, but never posted. I'm sorry you and your children have had/are having such a hard time. Hope the latest trouble from your ex is now resolving.

Today was ironically H's first supervised contact with the DC since the crap last week. He was very well behaved and actually hasn't even commented on why contact is now supervised.

Shame that I have had to spend the whole day in his company though

Norks - it says rather a lot that he didn't even question the supervised visit! Isn't there someone else that can supervise it though so you don't have to spend time with him??

You are a real star and to read your posts tonight just confirm that.

I know you are not at the end of your road yet, but the fact that you are in control (or as much as any of us are! ) of your life is a testament to your own strength and your insticts as a parent.

I am relatively new here, but read your recent posts and felt that a teeny bit of support was all you needed to help you take steps towards a better future for you and your DCs.

None of us lives a perfect life, but experience tells us that there are choices and sometimes we just need someone else beliveing in us to help us see what options as there.

Keep making it happen and stay strong for your little ones. x
