dh taped quadrophenia the other week, about mods and rockers (?) in england, one scene showed a party full of teenagers shagging each other in every room with others shagging, kinda like an orgy! i was taken aback and i possibly lived the most sheltered life as dh said thats what he and his friends used to do in a very normal matter of fact way...

he said its like the scene in gavin and stacey where smithy took nessa to the bathroom when gavin wasn't comfortable doing it with stacey with them there and it happens all the time and our boys will do the same!!!!

i must have lived the most sheltered life, i've snogged and groped been groped at parties but never full on public shagging... please don't get me wrong, i'm not a prude, but maybe i am??? ....

anyway, was that the norm back then, is it the norm now???

just wonderering, i certainly hope my boys don't do what my hubby said he did!!

Um I haven't seen the film, but no, I wouldn't say that full on sex in a room with other people happens "all the time" - the closest I have ever come to that was a couple shagging on the floor in a roomful of people who they thought were all asleep (I, clearly, was not) (I am 21 BTW)

is he in his 60s? tbh it probably happened to a certain extent before aids and all that

i never did but i was at parties where people were shagging in the cloakroom or somewhere - generally everyone else avoided the room but there'd be a few who walked in and out again and told everyone.

what does he mean by 'youth' though? for me this was from 17 onwards... more student days really than schooldays.

It definitely went on at university.

dh is 41! as in "youth" he said from 14 onwards! he said it was the "norm"! hoping it was just back then then....
