Sorry to hear that OP

My DGF as lovely as he was had a thing about "toughening you up" and always did mad stuff! but he was brought up in rural Ireland in 1920's & it was survival of the fittest for his generation.

He threw my dad & his siblings into the serpentine to teach them to swim & used to hold us up to the top banaster & tell us to hold on & then leave us to get ourselves down!

but i dont think throwing a baby down the stairs can be justified!

Fab sounds like you have made good steps to avoid her. "did everything for me" is a bit much isn't it. Do you have to have contact at all.

MintyCan · 10/01/2010 11:16

Oh just saw you said that you haven't seen her for a long time sorry !

OrdinarySAHM · 10/01/2010 11:41

They disgust me. You are well rid.

fab - i think you are wise to dis-own her , you seem to have a lovely family of your own now , i think her coming back into your life now would only turn your world upside down ,

differentID · 10/01/2010 12:05

er, no!

FabIsGoingToBeFabIn2010 · 10/01/2010 12:06

No way would I let her in my life. I gave her so many chances over the years and it just ended with me being really upset. I hate how I will be left with so many unanswered questions when she dies though.

my best friend is adopted , three years ago (now in her 30's) she decided to track down her biological mother , they found each other through an agency , met up a few times but now have no contact with each other at all , my BF found out things that really hurt her & i think she is now regretting ever laying eyes on her biological mother tbh ,
imo some times its better to let sleeping dogs lie iykwim ,
