'Tis for a long afternoon of wine, nibbles and uninterupted sex!!!! I can't wait. We have never done this before. Even got childcare!!! I am soooo excited!

I've always wanted to do that but our only local hotel is a travelodge and doesn't exactly have that wanton sex goddess vibe.

Enjoy!

youpirate · 08/01/2010 10:14

I have booked a travel lodge, in the sale. It has only cost £12!!!

I dont care. Its a trial to see if we like it. Then if we do....which I suspect we will...then who knows we might go somewhere fabby. I have never stayed in a Travel Lodge though I must say.

But I have the correct underwear and just bought a 'grown ups' game which we love - so we are taking that too!

what a fantastic idea

Should be marketed by Travel Lodge as a "having it away day".

BalloonSlayer · 08/01/2010 12:41

I want to do this

[counting the days till DS2 is at nursery emoticon]

Malificence · 08/01/2010 13:53

Are you going to arrive seperately and pick each other up in the bar? Do Travelodges have a bar?

Don't forget the lube, if you're going to be at it all afternoon, it's essential.

lisad123wantsherquoteinDM · 08/01/2010 13:59

I always thought you couldnt check in till about 3pm and had to be out by 10am? What time do you have babysitter for? Are you just going to run past reception and throw in keys as you flee in the afternoon

I am so u lucky 2

veryconfusedandupset · 08/01/2010 14:24

You can pay an extra £10 and check in at 12 noon if you want to....

Years ago, with an ex, he used to book us a room for a few hours. I can't believe how seedy it must have been. It was so obvious what we wanted it for.

doggiesayswoof · 08/01/2010 15:45

How do you check out without blushing?

I've thought about doing this but the checking out thing has put me off

GrimmaTheNome · 08/01/2010 15:47

doggies, that surely just adds to the fun.

CakeBuddy · 08/01/2010 15:49

DH and I had a similar evening years ago, the night before he went back to University. Only problem when booking into a local hotel is when they ask you for your name and address - we felt very silly giving our parents home addresses just a file miles down the road! So you might want to invent a new address and those people can receive the junk mail....!!

nancydrewrocks · 08/01/2010 15:50

Oh it's ok Travelodge make you pay in advance so you just leave when you're done!

OrmIrian · 08/01/2010 15:51

Grown up board game? Is that like Monopoly then?

youpirate · 08/01/2010 15:52

I will not be bothered about checking out - or so I say! I might feel a bit silly but dh won't care so he can do it!

MorrisZapp · 08/01/2010 15:58

'checking out' lol, you don't need to do that nowadays.

You just stroll out when you're finished.

Leaving your mess and strewn towels behind you

OrmIrian · 08/01/2010 16:02

Hey morris, that's what my children do anyway
