DH is dying - NOT

Why am I soooo angry with him?

He has had a cold (with cough, more annoying that way) for over a week, and 2 days ago said his ear hurt. He's prone to ear infections, so I said "go to docs".

Today he did go (we can get same day appts here), got ear drops, has come home, retired to bed (ALL day), and when I go in the bedroom to sort washing or something he looks all pathetic.
He's unshaven, smells sweaty cos of being under the duvet all day, and to make things worse he keeps farting (he says cos of the painkillers). He complained at me for opening the bedroom window, but it smells like a midden in there!!

He had yesterday off work, and spent all day asleep, but it didn't annoy me cos I was at work, anyway, I thought he'd be better today. I'm just a heartless cow today aren't I. How do I make myself sympathetic?

Oh, Mars Lady you have made me lol alright.Loved your dh's 'cyberchondriac'!

I think my dh managed to start looking at those sites too - I TOLD him not to, scary stories etc, but he seemed drawn to them . And there are some very weird people (men) on them too it seems - one chap wanted the whole process videoed and his dw present. Also on one site a great debate about how everyone feels emotionally afterwards. Good grief. Why can't they just get over it?

Luckily dh is fine and hasn't mentioned it since, but the build up to it was er, well researched shall we say!

I have had wonderful results out of dh's dying. He has had a pain in his chest and back for 3 years now. He was sure he was dying of every imaginable disease and has tortured the poor gp into referring him to all sorts of consultants. Final conclusion: he is too fat! Both consultant and gp told himthat he's put on 2 stone in last 2 years (and I can testify to another stone before they started weighing him) and if he loses it, pain will go away. Hooray. Lets hope he goes on a diet soon (I like my men with NO love handles...he was skinny when I married him).
