Am I too old to be seeing someone who is 22?

It's very early days but we seem to get on really well and have a lot in common.

My concern is that I am going to be 30 in a couple of weeks and he's only just turned 22.

He seems to be very mature while I'm the opposite and look and act younger than I am.

My main worry is what is family are going to think. I know he is very close to his parents and his older sister and I don't think they will approve. I'm almost 30, a single mother and I don't work (I'm in uni full time).

Am I too old to be seeing someone who is 22?

Reading all the success stories it sounds like a perfect age gap.

I can't remember the last time I was this happy and I'm certainly having more fun than I've had in years.

You need to apply the formula -

Halve your age + 7

= the absolute youngest person you can go out with

Therefore it's fine

Enjoy and ignore anyone who has an issue with it

I am 37 and my husband is 27! I am nine years and 8 months older than him. We have been together for 7 years and married for 2. We have three children, 5, 3 1/2 and 2. He works in the city and I am a full time mother, although I do some part-time examination marking.

I got pregnant when we had been dating only 6 months. He was only 21 at the time and me 31. We took it from there! We are happily married ( most of the time and are great friends too.

No one ever thinks we are that far apart in age because we are a couple.

Enjoy! otherway round for me dp is 6 1/2 years older but hey either way its about the person. age is just a number.
