Hi, do you think it's ok for a husband to go out every friday and saturday night with his friends to play cards? we've been married almost 4 years and have 2 beautiful children aged 3 & 15 months

thanks for your quick response, i really just needed confirmation i'm not going mad. I feel so unbelievably lonely but every time i tell him that i just wish he would want to spend more time with me and his children, he say's i'm being 'needy'. I feel so sad and neglected, this is not what i signed up for when we got married.

Absolutely not ok. Once a week would be fine, but every weekend?

Do you go out sometimes with friends?

sarah76 · 22/03/2009 00:11

I wouldn't put up with it either. So you're stuck with the kids while he does what he wants?

LuJay · 22/03/2009 00:14

I go out maybe once every 3 months or so. i just posed this quickly as my husband is still asleep and didn't have much time. But the problems run much deeper than this and i feel like my world is crumbling around me. Our children who i absolutely adore are all that is keeping me going at the moment and i have nobody to talk to about it. I will post another thread explaining in more detail when i have more time. thanks everyone for your support.

Please come back sometime when you have more time. We will listen to you.

Keep smiling LuJay, for your babies if nothing else and we'll all help you best we can xx

What are you? His babysitter? No, it would not be alright in our house. Sure we go out separately and, as it happens, he tends to be out more than me coz he plays squash a lot and that's usually in the evenings, but during the weeknights, for an hour or so, is very different from Fridays and Saturdays EVERY week. Think you need to Have a Talk.
