Can I ask, what would have happened if one of the children had woken up feeling poorly, before you got home? Is this abusive drunken creep safe to leave with your precious children?

It sounds awful. Trust me, as a single parent I can tell you it's really not that bad being on your own. I think you should seriously consider getting out of such a nasty situation.

AnyFucker · 03/03/2009 16:00

you need him for childcare?

what childcare

I don't call getting pissed on vodka to the point of being abusive to my children's mother childcare

I am so sorry, but why are you not taking steps to get out of this situation?

SeeEmilyPlay · 03/03/2009 17:11

That is not childcare

If something happened to the children (God forbid) he would be incapable of acting rationally and as such is putting them in danger.

If it was me I would be asking him to leave. If he refuses I would move out at least temporarily.

Lulumama · 03/03/2009 17:16

is he an alcoholic?

i think that drinking to the point of violent aggression is just wrong

especially when in sole charge of young children

you and your DCs deserve better
unless he takes immediate steps to manage his drinking, rage and lack of respect/responsibility, i would be kicking him out/packing my bags
