rarrrrgh! Can someone come and tell me if i am actually a grumpy old cow or if this is just normal?

I hate loud noises, the tv being on loud makes me fee really twitchy and quite frustrated. (yes i know that is daft). I can't handle loud screams, i hate big crowds and enjoy my own company.

I find that i really need to have time out on my own with no tv or music etc on if i have had a weekend with the kids/partner etc.

I don't find making friends in RL easy although i am very very confident at work and outgoing.

My dp thinks i am a moody cow and also thinks i need to accept that him and the kids are not noisy but normal.

I am struggling with this, right now he is watching a film and the noise of the tv is making me really uncomfortable.
Do any of you get like this? I am beginning to think i might be a bit of a nut.

How do you all cope with balloons? I am getting worse whenever I am around them and small children.

I scored 21! Have never thought about these 'issues' before...

Used to be able to withstand very loud punk rock but can't bear the TV being too loud. Hate lights being too bright (accused my parents of trying to 'make my eyes bleed' once when they had every light in the house on when they came over to babysit ). Worst, worst, worst crime of (several) ex-boyfriends was having TV and stereo on at the same time.
Don't mind balloons though. Oh - and I'm an artist so suppose there's an upside

I can't do balloons. They make me cross.

Oooh, lights is a good one. I can't use the upsatirs loo at night because dp put these really bright bulbs in the spotlights. I feel like an actress in "Sunshine".

Think that DD2 may have this affliction as she told me the other night that the noise of her CD player on standby is annoying.

This isn't the spinning noise it makes when it is scanning a CD but the very low level hum of it just being left on the CD option...
