So if you don't talk to your parents, should you still send Christmas cards?

Bit of a dilemma really.

We stopped talking around 6 months ago after a long, complicated and frankly painful 2-3 years of crap.

They have since bought both DDs a birthday present which they have left with my sister, and also tried to crash DD2s birthday party at exHs house.

Do I send them a card, just one from the DDs? I am perfectly happy not to have a relationship with them, so this is not an olive branch thing. WWYD?

There's no point sending a card if you don't mean it.

A christmas card is sending warm greetings, offering communication etc. Is that what you want to do?

Not really, I should still send one from the DDs though shouldn't I? Although TBH I haven't said anything about Nanny and Grandpa either positive or negative since this all went up, and they haven't asked. I suppose that tells me what their relationship was like with their GPs

I wouldn't bother unless the children are old enough to want to send a card off their own back.

I dont. I dont buy her as present either. Although my dad sometimes opens his present and says "oh look wife its for us from giraffes" but we all know its not so I never say anything to spoil it for everyone else.

Well they are 4,5 & 6, DD1 was probably the closest to them, but even when we were making cards and they were all telling us who they were for, there was no mention of them, maybe I will leave it entirely.
