So who else loves it when their dh goes out for the evening ?

My dh plays sport once a week and goes out with friend s once every 4-6 wks and I love it .

He will be out tonight and I like the fact that I can watch what rubbish I want on tv , I can lie on the sofa in my pjs and not talk , and chat on the phone to friends without any guilt .

So am I the only one and if not why do you like it ?

I love it - I get so much done without the need to be sociable, and the DC are way less fussy about supper than DH, so we all have something really quick (pasta with tuna and sweetcorn, often) and then they go to bed and I start on my list.

I appreciate it much more nowadays because it is so rare - he used to be away as much as he was home and the novelty did (eventually) wear off.

Ha Ha! The old tuna sweetcorn: what about baked beans or cheese on toast. It's such bliss to be able to cook something quick and easy when DH is working evenings.
