  1. kind and considerate (will make me a coffee, hug randomly, pick me up if I don't fancy taking the T)
  2. human (in that he inevitably fucks up but apologizes sincerely afterwards)
  3. interesting (in that he reads books, watches foreign movies, knows where places are on the globe)
  4. creative (is able to make stonewall, can paint, knows who Monet is)
  5. thinks I am as amazing as I think he is

Scary thing is I think I have found him

ToughDaddy · 17/11/2008 19:43

Gosh- the wide range of skills that a man needs these days.

Unlikely- it's Period Homes that I am reading these days.

phantasmagoria · 17/11/2008 19:57

Mananny, does he have a brother?

mananny · 17/11/2008 23:05

Sorry phantas, he's the only son, only has a sister.

unlikelyamazonian · 18/11/2008 09:21

Cripes, TD - I am reading that too. I am page 6. Using the cat as a book mark.

RumMum · 18/11/2008 16:34

I love manannys no 3

  1. interesting (in that he reads books, watches foreign movies, knows where places are on the globe).... pmsl.. knows where places are on the globe)....
unlikelyamazonian · 18/11/2008 18:58

Tee hee. Does he have one of those round globes next to his bed that spins round, lights up, plays old macdonald had a farm and shows up to date baltic states?

Would he know where Slough is?

Wigglesworth · 18/11/2008 19:04
  1. Be able to listen but also communicate with me.
  2. Be respectful.
  3. Loving and faithful.
  4. Ability to make me laugh and cheer me up, give me cuddles when I feel down.
  5. To love his family and love spending time with them.

My DH is all of the above and more.

mananny · 18/11/2008 21:53

LOL at everyone LOL at me!!!!

What I meant was he actually knows a bit about the world around him (including the fact it doesn't revolve around him!) which is a rare thing where I live. I'm a Brit living in the States and no offense to any Americans out there, but the majority have NO CLUE about geography or world events or anything outside of their 50 odd states. I have never lived anywhere so insular. So, when my fella started saying what did I think of the rubbish men strike in Italy I nearly fell over. He knows all kinds of random shite. And I love that about him .

ToughDaddy · 18/11/2008 22:35

mananny- so my single friend could be a real hit with the ladies if he learns the capitals of the world and heads to middle america.

unlikely- ah, but do you have an annual subscription.

mananny · 18/11/2008 23:10

TD if he has a British accent he won't need to do anything else!!! I could recite the alphabet over and over and as long as I use my best telephone voice I get drinks bought for me and everything. The yanks LOVE the British accent here!!!!

ToughDaddy · 18/11/2008 23:15

he is on the short side and it seems that women, universally, don't look at any man less than 5ft 5 in? Perhaps I should get him to host a thread on MN to tell his story

OP posts:
whomovedmychocolate · 18/11/2008 23:24

ToughDaddy · 18/11/2008 23:32
