My 6yo DS was talking to DP the other day and I overheard his dad asking him 'what did mam say?' and my son replied 'nothing, she was too busy arguing on mumsnet...again!'

I just asked DH if he minded me being on here and he said "As long as you don't run off with some weirdo..." He likes it when I read him funny things from MN too.

He also pretends to be me sometimes on MSN But he can't spell, so people soon rumble him!

I just do it when he is not around and have stopped talking about it.

marthamoo · 15/03/2005 07:08

Mine objects too (quite strenuously sometimes). I just ignore him.

Secret of a happy marriage?

Two PCs. We sit beside each other tap, tap, tapping away, not uttering a word all night 'til one of us says "OK, I'm going to bed."

Romance, eh?

dropinthe · 15/03/2005 07:36

We have only had a computer for about a year and he only uses it for Betfair! He really doesnt understand how to use it properly and so is jealous that I do- I wish he could use it for recreational purposes(saying that, the first time i was out when we got it he typed in 'Big titties.com' in search engine for a laugh and then spent the next week trying to stop all the sites/pop ups etc etc-got his come uppance there!!)

Yes mine hates it too. He moans that all he can hear is tap tap tap, over the tv.

But then if i say, i will be watching so and so on tv tonight then he moans that he hasn't got complete control of the tv.

Thing is, even if i wasn't on here it's not like we would sit and have a deep and meaningful conversation cos we wouldn't.

mrspink27 · 15/03/2005 12:39

My dh doesn't know-he would go scatty if he did. He thinks forums are full of nutters. Our pc is in the bedroom and normally he sits down stairs using his laptop, I can hear him opening the stairgate and quickly clear the toolbar history. Don't know whether this is or and it is the only secret I have from him!!!

dropinthe · 15/03/2005 14:39

I could be alot worse-you could have anothr man up there!

I used to MN in the evening when dh was working away, now I MN in the day when he's at work.

I try not to do it too much when he's around as he likes to have my attention - even when he's watching some boring rubbish on the TV
