this has NEVER happened to me before, but i think i just experienced love at first sight. nothing will ever happen, he was a stranger and i will never see him again..
I was waiting at the traffic lights in my car and a man was crossing the road to the island in the middle. i couldnt stop looking at him, he didnt see me, but my whole body started to shake and i got a feeling of a rush through my chest. my whole life flashed before me. how weird. i think it was love at first sight and as i say that has NEVER happened to me before and i feel really weird a couple of hours on. has that happened to anyone else? having problems with husband but am not on the look out for anyone or anything like that, it was such a new experience. it felt like i KNEW him and couldnt take my eyes of him.. any comments?

Sort of...it wasn't at first sight, but at first talk.

He was mending a motorbike and I went to talk to him (right outside my flat) - he worked with my neighbour every day and I used to get annoyed at this noisy bike starting up every day.

But that day when we spoke, something happened - well it was an evening and suddenly I felt an overhwelming sense of calm and love and just deep sort of warmth.

I started to have dreams about him, and one day I wrote a note saying I could not chat with him any more as I was having strong feelings and I was sorry. (he was taken at that point)

He came round to my flat and told me he felt the same, I was shaking so much, I was literally speechless, couldn't move, couldn't talk, felt very dizzy.

Very very odd. We were together four years and had a child. I still feel he was 'the one' but he isn't around any more.

The sex was a bit like that too - I felt i was sort of transported to a higher plane somehow - very, very weird, no orgasm involved either - just utter absolute awe and devotion. It felt sort of religious.
Strange stuff.

I came back from 1st date with DH and wrote in my diary, "This is it, I just met Him" and felt bessotted, but nothing like these! These are so good.

One evening when I was about 21, I was on the Tube going into town and felt a young bloke staring at me. We were both Goths and I looked up and met his eyes in the window. When he got of the train at his stop, he turned round and stood on the platform and just stared at me as the train pulled away. I do always wonder about him a bit... I wish I'd known about those "Once Seen" columns at that time.

Anyone else? I'm loving reading your stories! So romantic!

Yeah, I just met him in another thread....

It has happened to me, but not with my DH. Dh is more of a slow burn....

I was 15 when I saw him across a playing field - my heart started pounding and I thought he was the most beautiful man (boy) I had ever seen. He felt the same way about me and so started the most intense love affair I have EVER had.
