Realising with dread that I didn't want to be this unhappy for the next 12 months or more....

And when I found out he'd booked himself a holiday to South Africa over the New Year to visit his family, on his own, without telling me....

we'd been rowing pretty constantly for a couple of months. then didnt speak to each other for 2 weeks
the same old issues were coming up as we had had before dd was born. we had split up before dd then found i was pregnant, so decided to try again. it didnt work i couldnt see anything changing just thinngs as they were with each of us getting more bitter and resentful. i didnt want my children growning up in a house where the atmosphere was that bad

LS......i told him i wasn't in love with him anymore, and we cried and held on to each other (this was early hours of the morning).....i made the first move but we agreed during long talks (on the phone and via e-mail) that neither of us could stay in the relationship. So although i was the one who plucked up the courage to say out loud how i felt, it was apparent that the relationship was over for both of us, and yes it was a mutual decision to separate.
