How do you feel ready again?

I don't really know what i'm asking in this post but has anyone spent a really long time celibate (talking a decade plus) then struggled to get back out there again? the thought of sleeping with someone now actually scares me but I do want to meet someone and be with someone again but the longer its been the harder that feels, how do you get over it? I don't think I want therapy for this if that's even a thing as i couldn't bring myself to talk about this with someone in real life (mumsnet is anonymous thankfully!) has anyone been in this situation then gone on to meet someone? did you feel weird about it?

I didn’t get over it
Spent far too many years on my own and now have my own routine , security , peace and little habits
I wouldn’t recommend it at all as I also did eventually realise I’d like to have met someone but now feel I’ve left it too late and I can’t stand anyone in my space
Get out there and meet people

Yes. I can't give details on a public forum as it would be outing. The right one will come along. Like PP though, I don't want anything serious so have adjusted to a different way of indulging. Apologies for being cryptic.
