Ex messaging

my ex finished things incredibly suddenly back in April. It completely blindsided me and it was incredibly traumatic, I really struggled to come to terms with it and at times genuinely just didn’t want to be here anymore. I heard nothing from him and managed to stay strong and not get in touch with him at all. Fast forward to last month and he starts messaging me out the blue. He is telling me he is seeing someone else. But then keeps telling me home he fancies the pants off me, misses me and asks me to send pictures to him. He also asked if I ‘wanted to f**k’ and asked several times if I would go to his place. I told him in no uncertain terms I am not interested. He has a new gf and it is incredible inappropriate of him to be messaging me and saying what he’s saying. He didn’t seem bothered by this. When I was with him I thought he was the one, I thought he was the kindest most genuine man I’d ever met. How can you possibly get someone so wrong? I am gutted, but I guess this is his true colours

When someone shows you who they are believe them and for the love of god, block him on everything! Do not respond!

QueenOfAccountability · 18/10/2026 20:28

I think an awful lot of people are very good at hiding who they really are

Sooner or later though, the mask always slips and they show their true colours.

Tell him to stop messaging you. If he persists, tell him you'll send the messages to his current girlfriend (and do so)

At least you now know he is a sleazy, untrustworthy wankmuffin now before you got enmeshed.

CrikeyNumpty · 18/10/2026 20:32

I would block him. He is a basic lowlife bloke who wants to use you for sex. The kind genuine one just means he is great at acting. Please move on from this and don’t cave into responding. Why give him more leverage over you. Silence is a great response.

Thank you, I need to hear these responses. I think part of me was happy he messaged but then when he started saying what he did it just grossed me out. I honestly don’t know how I’ll ever be able to trust anything a man says ever again. Honest to god he was so amazing when we were together. I thought I was the luckiest girl in the world. I have taken screenshots of all his messages, tho I don’t know who he is seeing. I guess I could find out somehow. I feel awful for her, bet she feels how I did in the beginning

These are indeed his true colours OP. Don't try and repaint him, and don't let old, fond memories you may have trick you into opening closed doors. I'd block him if I was you.

outerspacepotato · 18/10/2026 20:53

Just block him. He's looking for someone to cheat on the new gf with. Whatever you do, don't send him any pics.

whippersnapper55 · 18/10/2026 23:16

Sounds like you really dodged a bullet, just be glad you're not still with the tosser! Block him on everything and get on with your life, he's not worth another second of your time spent thinking about him. Don't allow yourself to do it - when he comes to your mind, redirect your thoughts and distract yourself. It will become a habit until you're just not thinking of him any more!
