Hi I have posted a separate thread about ex "D"P (((anything BUT))) however I need to sort out the practicalities such as getting his keys and credit cards sent to him. I don't know how to do this - I can get proof of postage but that just proves I sent something. I need to be able to prove that I sent him his exact items. Is there any service that does this. Any courier or something. The only thing I can think of is like when you serve someone with divorce papers but that costs £100's 😬 I really would appreciate any advice. He lives in a different city to me, I don't want to go there any see him in person and Unfortunately I do not know any big burly men who would do this for me. I do have the number of a beautician he knows who is his landlord. But working out the logistics would mean having to text him and I feel sick thinking about seeing him. Any way the beautician might take his side and say she never got them or something.

Thank you 🙏

Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed

Ilovemyshed · 16/10/2026 22:42

Why can’t he collect them?

SavageStoneAge · 16/10/2026 22:50

I don't want to have him here at my house to be honest given some absurd and hateful comments he made about DD and her sex life.

Also I don't have ring doorbell or anything that would prove he took them.

I am scared of him, to be honest it has been an eye-opening few days of having him blocked + now I can see how tense I have been as I am really jumpy and nervy. I hadn't realised how bad it all was

RM Special Delivery, think this has been mentioned on both threads now

But they don't take a photo of what you're actually sending. Like I need to have more than just proof of posting I need proof of the actual items. If that makes sense x

How do you expect any courier to take a photo of what's in the box...do you expect them to wait whilst you package it up?

Idontjetwashthefucker · 16/10/2026 23:03

Is this all you're sending? Tell him to cancel his cards and bin the keys...sounds like you're dragging it out

Just figured that I am not going to be the only person in this position so thought there might be a service is all

He is a really scary guy and I don't want to piss him off or give him ammunition.

I’d just cut the cards up & take a photo then ditch them.
Id probs just dump the keys.

Are you looking for an excuse to hear from him?

He might have already stopped the cards anyway.

Hes a bloke so he’s probs not worried about the keys. He’ll just get the locks changed
if he’s bothered by the thought of you having keys.

I'm really not,,, I want this over and done with ASAP but equally I don't want him to have anything to use against me. I am scared of him.

No I really want a clean break from him. I feel sick after what he said to me. I have blocked his number and I do not want to hear from him again nor do I want to see him.
When I have tried to end things before he has got really funny about getting his things back.

Agree with pp cut up the cards, unblock send a photo and re-block.
Now that you're not under his control hell lose interest.
You're doing great.

crocodilesandwich · 16/10/2026 23:14

If you really felt it necessary, you could video yourself putting them in an envelope, showing the address and putting them in the post box/ taking them to the counter? But probably not a great idea to post keys to the address they belong too!

NSJ796 · 16/10/2026 23:15

I took photos of all the post, I sent plus got proof of posting from the Post Office. I gave an end date to when I would stop doing this. Still got rude remarks back but as you know that’s their norm. Do not destroy the mail in any way.

itsnotalwaysthateasy · 16/10/2026 23:16

I don't know your story, but why are you trying to make everything in his world right...when he never considereed your world?
If the items are important toi him, he will come back. Seriously, why are yoiu falling over yourself to help him?
You have serious people pleasing needs. Get a counsellor to help you work through this, because your views are unhealthy. It's ok not to be nice on occasions.

QUIT helping him

burntorange21 · 16/10/2026 23:18

@itsnotalwaysthateasydo you bother reading the thread?? OP is quite obviously scared of him. I have had an ex partner do the same to me about their things it’s frightening

JuRoo · 16/10/2026 23:34

Just get someone to video you putting the items in the envelope & turn it over to show his address on the outside. Then do another video of the envelope at the post office counter with the postage labels or stamps on it, alongside his address. Then a photo of the same with the proof of ‘Special Delivery’ postage receipt alongside it. The cashier at the post office will understand & I’m sure will help you out. Then say goodbye to it. You can track it online & when it shows you it’s been delivered, take a screenshot of that & keep both it & your receipt safe. That’ll be more than enough evidence & the best that’s available. That should give you peace of mind & some closure which i think is what you want. Good luck.
