How can i stop relationship problems affecting me so much when i have newborn?
i feel consumed with worry so even when i get the chance to rest i cant switch off.
We were great pre pregnancy but partner has changed e.g gaming more,
less affection and cant cope with chats about it so feeling very stuck and helpless

You both have to realise that your lives have changed and keep talking and assuming how the other person is feeling. Both need time with baby to bond and learn what’s what without the other person taking over

If you’re looking after a newborn and your partner has decided that gaming more is the way he’s going to deal with the stress of it all, I’d be tempted to tell him to fuck off tbh. What use is he? Is he helping at all with the raising of his newborn child? Do you have supportive family who could step in if he wasn’t there to give you a little break every now and again?

I know people say you shouldn’t make big decisions in the early days as you’re tired and hormonal etc but if he’s too immature to see what he’s doing will kill the relationship and he won’t talk about it, he’s just adding to the workload at this point.

I posted on your other thread OP about your partner buying himself a PlayStation when you came out of hospital after your difficult birth and not buying you anything.
He obviously hasn't taken on board what becoming parents means and thinks he can carry on behaving like a teenager with no responsibility .
You need to havs a serious conversation with him OP and if he won't talk about it I don't think your relationship has much future.
