Living with abusive Ex

I’m currently going through a divorce and, unfortunately, I’m still living with my husband as I can’t afford to move out at the moment.

Things have become increasingly difficult at home. He believes I’ve been unfaithful, which I haven’t, and this seems to be a major source of conflict. He regularly shouts at me, calls me names and tells me to leave. He also sometimes gets right up in my face, which I find very intimidating.

The divorce is now being dealt with through the proper channels, but I’m stuck living under the same roof in the meantime.
I’m finding the situation really difficult and am particularly struggling with the constant verbal abuse and intimidation. I’m trying to keep things as calm as possible for the kids, but I’m not sure how best to handle things while we’re still living together.

Has anyone been in a similar situation or have any advice about living with a high-conflict ex while going through a divorce?
Any advice would be really appreciated.

Cant you move out? He actually sounds dangerous. Men can become violent during separation and what worries me is the fact he's also being jealous and paranoid. Contact womens aid today.

This sounds intolerable. For the children

To be fair you admit you did get too close with a male friend. And bizarrely this male friend has told your husband that you had sex with him.
