So in an effort not to drip feed… 40 years friend with benefits we were so close daily even though he was with someone I know I’m a bitch but I adored him. His latest relationship is ten years her house he leant her 100k+ to sort her debts he feels he owns half the house but still in her name only.Four years ago he said 18 months we will be out of this move to Spain yahder yahder. Caught him lying multiple times. I have every reason to not believe him I think that hes also leading her along.calls etc I’m right I fucked him off six months ago but owe him money for a car he helped me to buy so owe him. He’s now saying I love you I’ll do anything you want what do I do? He’s trying to control my life and be back in.but also threatening me over the money for the car. Which he knows I’ll pay.
I’ve met someone who is a beautiful soul but I feel trapped in this cycle and I don’t want it to ruin any future I have but I’m scared of him. Know that this makes littte sense but I’m in a mess I need someone to give me sanity.

whippersnapper55 · 05/10/2026 23:06

Zero sympathy for you 🤷‍♀️

Quitelikeit · 05/10/2026 23:11

Why are you scared of him?

im reading it as you have met someone else? If so stick with him

Logsonthefire2 · 05/10/2026 23:13

Just block him. Simple.

ShopCake · 05/10/2026 23:15

Two things, OP.

(a) I don’t think you understand the term ‘friends with benefits’.

(b) are you actually complaining about him lending his wife/partner of ten years money to pay her debts, when you borrowed money from him for a car?

Marineboy67 · 05/10/2026 23:15

Best to borrow the money and pay him off and get him out of your life permanently. Better to owe the bank or a lower interest card!
