Struggling, so lonely

Weekend alone as DC with their dad. I know I should make the most of my down time, self care, do hobbies, see friends and so on, but I just can't do anything. I've been in bed doom scrolling all day. No motivation to do anything. No friends or family to check in on, I have a handful of friends but they all have their own families and close friends.
I just feel so alone and tired of my life. I often wish I could go back to my married life and have a normal life instead of being so alone and bed rotting when my DC aren't around.

It’s hard. You can do it. Running helps.

Sorry to hear this, have you tried looking on meet-up? Lots of different stuff going on at weekends from socialising to shared hobbies.

I remember that feeling, it's hard. I have no answer,I still do the same sometimes and my children are early twenties.

Are you on dating apps? I used to feel like I was the only single person. All my friends are married etc. I used to date a bit.

I'm in the same situation. It's hard when everyone else seems to have the life you wanted. Not much to be done but get through it as best you can, and if that means a day wallowing in bed, so be it. Try and get up and go out tomorrow. Sympathy and solidarity.

I can assure that running wont help! 😂I'm single with one child who goes to her Dads each weekend, but Ive never felt the urge to run!
You sound depressed. Ignore the chores, you forgot to look after you.
Do one job...hoovering. Then treat youself to scrolling. Clean the bathroom, then treat yourself to scrolling. It's amazing how little jobs happen if you know you can reward yourself. Buy yourself some cheap flowers from aldi. Be kind to yourself.

Exercise does help but it doesn't have to be running.

I used to do a yoga class or go swimming, go for a walk, buy myself a nice, easy tv dinner and then watch a film or series.

Sometimes a bit of gardening.

I miss those days, I have DC all the time now.

This is your time, time to rediscover yourself, binge watch tv/films, listen to music, get yourself a karaoke machine, just have some fun and make yourself smile again 😀
