I wasn't sure which topic to put this in so apologies if it's not the right one.

I had a call today from dsis to let me know that our father is on end of life care.
I've been NC for 10 years (not sure if the reasons are relevant for this post but for a long time I've felt at peace with my decision).
I have no desire to rush to his bedside which probably makes me a heartless bitch.
I need to tell (adult) DS who may well want to go and visit him (he's only seen him once in the 10 years). Do I offer to go with him to support him (it's a 2 hour drive) ? Or let him go and my 2 dsis will be there?
Not really sure what I'm looking for by posting this - maybe just looking for others who've been in this situation

My mum put her neighbour down as next of kin. She was allowed to make all decisions regarding her care including hospice or hospital. Banned me from the hospice after she was moved there. arranged the funeral I was invited but didn’t bother. Certainly didn’t pay for anything.

id love to know what the neighbour did with her ashes. Mum wrote a grid ref of where she wanted them scattered but put the coordinates in wrong and it was in the middle of the North Sea. Where I actually knew the spot in Yorkshire she wanted. I didn’t tell the neighbour. I do wonder if they took her out to the North Sea. 😆. I suspect they just binned her to be honest

OP, be kind to yourself.
No one goes NC easily.
You may feel a bit strange afterwards but likely will feel overwhelming relief.

I'm spinning out a bit today. Feel guilty that my sisters are there dealing with everything. Also have a couple of other stressful things on my mind and I'm not sure if it's a combination of everything but I feel like I want to curl up in a ball and hide from it all.
