Sauna guy said the sweetest thing to his wife 🥹

I was just in the sauna at my local gym and my relationship is currently falling apart. I sat in there with another couple and the guy was telling her that he has some salad left he is going to throw together with the hummus and that can be their dip for tonight 🥹🥹 he said she can have his burrito too.

I don’t know why but that really pulled on my heart strings. Maybe because it’s been so long since I’ve been considered like that. Maybe it’s because it sounds so alien to me right now. I just thought it was so cute. Maybe it’s god showing me a reminder of what love looks like.

has anyone got a husband like sauna guy? If so, you’re very lucky!

I have. I met him after coming out of an abusive relationship and every kind thing he did felt like a trap. It look about 2 years to stop panicking when I heard him come through the front door.
I sometimes feel really bad because I don't always notice all the things he does for me.
I feel like he loves me so unconditionally that there isn't much I could do that would make him leave.
He makes me feel like I'm actually a good person, and worthy of love.
He doesn't even get mad if I eat the last bit of chocolate.
This is why im an LTB-er, I've been there with horrible men and now I know there are good men out there I'll always strongly encourage women to leave bad relationships.
Sorry that ended up a bit long but it genuinely changed my life and my perception of myself when I met him and realised I wasn't all the horrible things my ex told me I was!!!
He would also give me his burrito, ha

Is "have his burrito" code for sex?

Naurrr · 03/09/2026 19:38

I don't think that's sweet at all? Just boring talk about what to have for dinner, if my husband says what he's making tomorrow I just think 'ok.' 😐

Kajjsa · 03/09/2026 19:41

I think it’s normal. If DH said that to me, I would just think it sounded a bit too healthy😂I hope you find your sauna girl too OP

I think it's sweet too. It should be standard in any relationship from both partners to be considerate.

But there are people who will give you their last bit of chocolate or burrito but still be so mean and awful in other ways.

You did witness a cute moment and it's so easy for some people to take that for granted too.

Spectacularly missing the point

I think this is the point, it’s really quite mundane, caring, respectful relationship stuff which op has not had which made it seem all the more poignant because it’s mundane and commonplace for most happy relationships but highlights it for those who don’t have that.
OP I have a lovely considerate sauna guy,
most of the time he’s great and thoughtful and considerate and occasionally he really pisses me off. No relationship is perfect of course but I love my fairly boring and incredibly stable secure one, I see friends around me and feel really grateful for what I’ve got. Even if every now and then he drives me up the wall.
