Found out boyfriend has been paying women for explicit Snapchat photos

As the title says, I’ve just found out my boyfriend has been paying for naked photos of women on Snapchat. Thank god I’ve found out early, we’ve only been together since Feb.

Im in shock at the moment. He was really keen to progress things - live together etc - we see each other regularly, met his family recently. Relationship felt like it was going well

he was showing me something on his phone recently and a random Snapchat bubble popped up on top of the screen. Which I thought was odd because we are both late thirties and I would have thought, above the age of anyone who actually uses Snapchat as a form of communication

so I looked through his phone and saw 50+ chats with random women, him sending them money and them sending him naked photos. All recent

I can’t even be too upset because it’s so pathetic and unattractive.

Haven’t said anything to him, I’m staying over at his tonight and we were meant to be spending the day together tomorrow. Going to make my excuses in the morning and shoot off. Tempted to just block him everywhere and not bother giving him any closure.

I am utterly disgusted

Ew, I think blocking him everywhere would be the best response. He'll know you found out.

Talking about living together so soon, sounds like a big red flag for love bombing.

Agree with PP block and walk away you don't owe him any explanation disgusting man and you are right to question why someone that age would be using Snapchat and unfortunately you found out the answer

Don't just block him everywhere. Send one more text before you do.

I know you've been paying for photographs of naked women on snapchat...

Then block

The only reason I’m reluctant to do this is because it gives him closure which I don’t think he deserves. I’d rather he was confused and left wondering while I skip into the distance. Also gives him the opportunity to turn it on me and make it an issue of me invading his privacy or whatever nonsense men say in situations like this

If you just block him be prepared for him to try and find out why.

Don't think he'll necessarily know why you've done it.

I would find it infinitely more distressing to have a man like that try and getting contact with me to find out what has gone wrong.

Don't worry about him or the closure he gets worry about yourself. You're worrying far too much about his reaction. Or what he gets out of it

Tell them, you know, tell him not to contact you again. And block. Anything else leaves the door open for him to contact you and I would find that worse. Imagine him turning up in person to find out what's gone on.

He can't turn it around on you and make excuses. If you've blocked him, you'll never see it.

That’s pretty disgusting behaviour from him. But by blocking when he’s no clue there’s anything wrong, you’re playing games and inviting him to contact you by other means. Remain dignified here and you’ll be able to exit without the drama. End it, tell him why and then block. Move on with your life.
