Anyone else noticing AI generated messages and replies on dating sites?

Have come across this recently of a couple of men using Chat GPT one, an IT professional having set it up to "have conversations" with women the other had copied and pasted advice from Chat GPT as suggested responses he had also mistakenly included the Chat GPT title of " what responses you might gove to x (woman's name) the woman in question told me that when confronted he messaged that "he hadn't but sometimes used a grammar check" to which woman advised he "might like to use a spellchecker as well as grammar as you've spelt grammar with one m when it has two!" What an absolute plank. However though I'm in a LTR it's so awful for people on dating sites to think their either speaking to someone, when it's entirely AI generated or a lazy idiot who just wants to copy and paste. Apparently hyphens between words are one way of spotting AI use and vague responses wondered if anyone else has this experience but thought I would highlight it as its so disingenuous and wonder if it could be the beginning of the end for OLD.
Wondering on others thoughts/experience on this.

I don’t use dating sites but I’m not at all surprised. People seem to be using AI to write everything nowadays - MN posts, job applications, work emails, it’s becoming a way of outsourcing their thinking.

But it is about meeting people eventually so don’t see a problem

I'm not convinced the people on OLD sites are real with the amount of ghosting that goes on. Either that or the profile has been left open and never shut down.

It feels such a waste of time for the recipients, initially to not know your potentially talking to AI. Then even if the person who has set it up then decides to engage/meet up, Is there a likelihood they may seem dissapointing having had an AI version of themselves presented. (One that can use a basic standard of spelling and grammar!) So yet another waste of time. @Mysticguru interesting you should think that however wouldn't their profiles be deleted if its s subscription based site? If not, could this be another nail in the coffin for OLD sites?

I’ve seen loads of AI photos. I usually swipe left on them!
