Hi I have separated from my ex partner as things were just not working out over the last 6 months we were together for 18 months and have an 8 month old daughter after we separated police turned up at my house several times with a warrant for his arrest and the last police officer to attend my property revealed he was wanted for a violent attack on another woman. I was in total shock when they actually mentioned the name in fact they asked me if I was this person and I recognised the name to be the ex partner of my ex boyfriend I was told he was on bail for a previous attack and had broken his bail conditions by turning up and committing another violent attack I had never been physically assaulted by my ex partner and he had never shown any signs of violence in our relationship but I was glad to be out of the relationship and felt that he had been a fake all along I was right as I later found out that he was still continuing a relationship with his ex girlfriend when he later turned up to see our daughter I called the police which has now caused social services to get involved and my children are now on a child protection plan I am devastated as I have now done a Claire’s law and the violent history against women is relentless I don’t want him to have access to our daughter.
The woman in question has not pressed charges against him even though she has been violently assaulted several times and even hospitalised and called police on so many occasions why is he not being charged and locked up? Especially when he has already been to prison for assault on another woman prior
