Hey there so over the past 7-8 days me and my GF have been trying for a baby, I've gave my GF a "fluid exchange" 3 times (sorry I dont know what else to call it in case I break rules on this post lol) but over the past day her symptoms have been Mild cramps only on one side, light pink spotting and then she started forming clots, feeling a bit sick in the morning and lower back pain but her period is due at the end of this week. She told me that the cramps and the bleeding doesnt feel like a regular period.

We have only been trying to have a baby this week so we are new this

Date of LMP?

MirrorMirror1247 · 10/08/2026 19:38

Too soon to say. Wait until her period is due and if it doesn't arrive, she can do a test.

FYI, you can pretty much say what you like as long as you don't break the talk guidelines. Swearing is allowed too.

BeGoldBee · 10/08/2026 19:38

Her period is meant to be around the 13th to 16th of every month

Respectfully, if she doesn’t know, and it’s too early to test, a bunch of people on the internet are really not going to be able to judge.

How old are you out of interest?

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 10/08/2026 19:41

She needs to wait to see if she misses her next period, then she can take a pregnancy test.

FYI you can mention sex on here. There's no need to be coy.

ScurryfungeSpuddle · 10/08/2026 19:42

This is such a weird thread.

If we're going to be discussing your girlfriend's periods and your 'fluid exchange', I'd rather discuss it with her.

If my husband had started a thread like this my vagina would shrivel like a prune.

BeGoldBee · 10/08/2026 19:45

@DoloresDelEriba im 28 and she is 26

13 by the sounds of it.

Goatsarebest · 11/08/2026 03:09

If this is genuine.
This is between you and her. Google will answer your question if you genuinely have these questions. No need to go on a public forum for this.
If you are genuine and you become a father to be, then stay on this forum and learn how to be a good dad and how to treat the mother of your child with respect and love. Then you will be a good person. Aspire to this.

Dear lord, with gaps in reproductive knowledge this huge neither of you are ready to be parents!
Stop shagging and start educating yourselves, after a year or two of learning basic general knowledge you might be in a better position to bring up the future generation.

NovaForesta · 12/08/2026 07:32

Good luck OP.

I’ve heard it called many things on here (baby dancing 🤢) but “fluid exchange” is definitely a new one 😂

BlueSlate · 12/08/2026 10:13

You're allowed to say you had unprotected sex.

But it's unlikely that a fertilised egg would even have implanted yet so she wouldn't be experiencing any symptoms.

If her period is due this week, it's probably that.

Lmnop22 · 12/08/2026 14:59

Not sure she even can be pregnant yet if you only “exchanged fluids” over one week. She would have to have ovulated just before, in the day of or just after you had sex and then the sperm would need to travel to and fertilise the egg and the the fertilised egg would need to implant.

There’s no way of knowing the day you have sex or the week you have sex if you’re pregnant intranet because it isn’t an instant thing.

You have to wait at least two weeks usually past the date she ovulated and then, if her period hasn’t arrived, take a pregnancy test.
