I think that you make it your mission to understand more fully why you're choosing the ones that you have, so you can avoid repeating the same in future. Spend the next few years raising your DC and working on that. Boundaries, self esteem, doing more work to look into the effects on children raised in abusive homes, and how that plays out when they're adults.

It's not about Finding A Normal Man, it's about recognising patterns and breaking the repetition, and working out why you feel dysfunction is normal.
